Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a powerful modality that combines counseling (therapy) and hypnosis. It can help the client better understand themselves, change bad habits into good ones, and transform negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones.

Hypnotherapy will make these changes occur so effortlessly and quickly that it sometimes seems more like magic than a scientific tool.

Therapy or counseling applies to the conscious mind. It enlists the help of the intellect, to solve problems and relieve stress. When you appeal to the conscious mind you will undoubtedly gain a lot of knowledge about and useful tools for positive thinking. But often, the more reasoning and intellectualizing you engage in, the greater the tendency to rationalize, to develop alibis, and to protect the subconscious from changing your behavior. When in the hypnotic state you can easily make positive changes because your subconscious mind is more open to suggestions for positive change. Any habit can be easily and quickly changed while working with the subconscious.

Hypnosis is very relaxing and refreshing. It is a heightened state of consciousness or an altered state. The client allows him/her self to enter this state, it cannot be forced upon anyone. After a state of deep natural relaxation is reached, active thoughts or suggestions are placed in the mind to help the client achieve his or her goal. The suggestions will be of tremendous benefit when absorbed by the subconscious mind. Hypnosis works because the suggestions integrate with the subconscious mind. The new thoughts will be enforced by the subconscious. The Hypnosis session usually takes place with the client sitting comfortably in a chair, and takes from 45 minutes to an hour.

Our rates are $50.00 per session.

I first used self-hypnosis and hypnosis with family & friends in the early 70's. Through the years, I have found it very beneficial for relaxation, changing habits, managing pain, and developing a positive attitude. I am a Certified Master Hypnotherapist and a Registered member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy, and a Life Member of the International Registry of Professional Hypnotherapists.
